A KNOWN stalker twice came within feet of Prince Harry on his recent visit to the UK.
The woman was spotted within ‘a stone’s throw’ of the Duke at an event in West London and entered a supposedly ‘secure zone’ in the hotel where he attended the Well-Child awards.

Other celebs like Myleene Klass who have dealt with stalkers don’t get state-backed police protection from.[/caption]
There was no police presence at the event and it was his eagle-eyed team who ‘body-blocked’ her.
The woman also reportedly followed him and Meghan on their visit to Nigeria last year, and is noted as a ‘fixated individual.’
Meanwhile, three Brits were jailed and have since been released for plotting to cause him harm or encouraging others to attack him.
So it’s perhaps little wonder that he took the matter to court after losing his automatic right to state-backed police protection.
He lost the case, but sources say it’s likely his legal team will use these latest security breaches to push for a full risk assessment of his protection arrangements.
Indeed, Neil Basu, former head of the UK’s counter-terrorism police, says it’s “a mistake” not to formally assess the threats he faces.
His legal team might also wish to mention the recent use of police protection officers to help Angela Rayner’s boyfriend move his things out of her flat. But that’s another story.
Back to Harry. On the one hand, it’s utterly terrifying to have one stalker — let alone several — and the protection of his family will understandably be uppermost in his mind.
I sympathise. But the right (or not) to state-backed police protection is decided by executive committee Ravec, which decided that, as he is no longer a working royal, he’s not entitled to it.
Indeed, thanks to their various commercial deals, it could be argued that Harry and Meghan are now classed as mere ‘celebrities.’
And with alarming frequency, the newspapers are full of stories about other celebrities (particularly women) whose lives are blighted by stalkers that they don’t get state-backed police protection from.
So if Harry was to get it, then why not them?
As the late Queen famously said, you can’t be a “half in, half out” royal — and that goes for the trappings, too
THAT’S HEAVEN

Queen Camilla has paid tribute to her close friend late Jilly Cooper[/caption]
QUEEN Camilla has paid tribute to her close friend Jilly Cooper who died at the weekend following a fall.
She said the Rivals author had been a “wonderfully witty and compassionate friend” to those who knew her and hoped that her “hereafter be filled with impossibly handsome men and devoted dogs.”
Though for any woman of a certain age to truly feel at peace, perhaps devoted men and impossibly handsome dogs might prove a better combination.
TOURISM board Visit Cornwall has gone into liquidation because of “insurmountable financial problems”.
In addition, visitor numbers to the area were down ten to 12 per cent in 2024.
Could it be a reaction in part to some (not all) of the Cornish residents who make tourists and second-home owners feel distinctly unwelcome?
Answers on a non-Cornish postcard please.
THAT’S HELL
HAVE you heard the one about the nun, the lawyer and the cleaning lady?
The nun and the lawyer were having an affair with the bishop, who accidentally sent photos meant for his mistresses to his cleaning lady who complained to the Catholic Church.
Despite sounding like the start of a Bernard Manning joke, this is a real-life scenario playing out in Peru where 51-year-old bishop Ciro Quispe Lopez has now handed in his resignation to Pope Leo after being accused of having 17 mistresses.
Where do people find the time? But I digress.
The cleaning lady gave lurid details of finding stains in his bed and women’s hair in his shower, and two of his lovers (who came to blows after finding out about each other) were so infuriated that they spilled the beans.
Whether the frisky Ciro will still go to heaven when his time comes is anyone’s guess, but, in the meantime, he’s in no doubt that hell hath no fury like women scorned.
‘BIG BOATS’ CRISIS

A new ‘mega-dinghy’, 40ft in length and holding 125 migrants, has been photographed crossing the Channel[/caption]
A NEW “mega-dinghy” has been photographed crossing the Channel for the first time.
It’s 40ft in length, holds 125 migrants and, at a glance, there’s seemingly not a woman or child among them – just physically fit young men.
A spokesman for the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime suggests this development is mainly a “profit-making strategy”. Sigh.
Whatever it is, it’s clear that Labour’s “one-in, one-out” mantra is a farce, and we’re now facing a “big boats crisis”.
CARE home support worker Joshua Aderemi argued that his colleague’s Dalek mug – bearing the words, “You may think that I am listening to you, but in my head I’m about to exterminate someone” – amounted to race and disability discrimination.
![White coffee mug with the text "YOU ARE A BUNCH OF [BLANKED OUT WORD] AND YOU ARE TOTALLY DOING MY HEAD IN" and an illustration of a person holding their head.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/twats-totally-head-1029559466.jpg?strip=all&w=480)
Goodness knows what care home support worker Joshua Aderem or any equally sensitive soul would make of Jane’s favourite mug[/caption]
But a Sheffield tribunal judge has sensibly dismissed his claim.
Goodness knows what Joshua or any equally sensitive soul would make of my favourite mug.
Just as well I’m freelance and work from home.
AI ‘ACTRESS’ HAS ALL THE ADVANTAGES

Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated Hollywood actress, is causing a stir[/caption]
SAY hello to Tilly Norwood, the most talked-about, up-and-coming actress in Hollywood.
She’s causing quite a stir because she’s AI generated.
Her creators at British company Particle6 say she’s “not a replacement for a human being but a creative work – a piece of art”.
Hmmm. How long will that distinction last?
As Whoopi Goldberg says: “You are suddenly up against something that’s been generated by 5000 actors. It’s got Bette Davis’s attitude. It’s got Humphrey Bogart’s lips. It’s got my humour. So it’s a little bit of an unfair advantage.”
On top of that, Tilly never makes diva demands, her Twitter feed is devoid of embarrassing or shameful outbursts, there’s no dodgy ex-boyfriend to do a kiss and tell, and she never ages.
HOUSE THAT
THE Government is planning to introduce sellers’ packs and quicker contracts to speed up the sluggish housing market.
But this is merely rearranging the deckchairs at Casa Titanic.
Reducing or scrapping stamp duty on properties under £1million (which barely buys you a terraced house in most parts of London) would get everyone moving.
I’M TEAM SHEEN
“NOT for profit” actor Michael Sheen says his finances are sometimes “a bit edgy” because he’s given millions away to charity.
He’s moved back to Wales and wants to “use my career as the engine to do the other stuff,” i.e charity work, and “rather than just being a photo opportunity.”
Good for him. He could give a few top Labourites a lesson in what real socialism is.
THE CEO whose marriage collapsed after he was caught snuggling his mistress on the Coldplay kiss-cam is seemingly back with his wife.
In other words, once the subterfuge is removed, the “prize” of potentially spending all your time with your once-secret lover can suddenly seem a lot less thrilling.
CARER’S SHARIA SHAME

Raja Zulqurnean, who was found guilty of rape and sexual assault and has been jailed for 23 years, ‘married’ the 15-year-old girl in a Sharia ceremony[/caption]
EIGHT men have been convicted of sexual offences against a 15- year-old girl in Bradford.
Appalling enough. But one of them – 43 year-old Raja Zulqurnean, who was found guilty of rape and sexual assault and has been jailed for 23 years – “married” the girl in a Sharia ceremony . . . attended by her social worker.
The very person whose job it was to protect the vulnerable girl singularly failed to do so.
The marriage ceremony, which took place in the early 2000s, was reported to police at the time but “seemingly no investigation took place”.
Quite why it has taken another 20-plus years to convict these men is anyone’s guess, but Judge Ahmed Nadim said she had a “profound unhappiness” with West Yorkshire police and Bradford social services.
You don’t say. Some might argue that the social worker who endorsed an illegal ceremony involving a minor should be in the dock too.
