What if London unis were Zodiac signs? Here’s the ultimate guide

Ever wondered what people think about you when you tell them which London university you go to? Or more importantly, which zodiac sign your uni relates to? Well, look no further- here’s the ultimate guide to which zodiac sign each London uni would have.

First up, we have the air signs.

UCL: Libra

Head in the clouds? Thinking about corporate internships whilst signing up for the drama society’s play? Yes, please. This is UCL, which, just like a Libra, is all about balance and creativity. Don’t be fooled by the confident external appearance, though- will we ever get over the Oxbridge rejection?

QMUL: Aquarius

Just like Harry Styles and Bob Marley, Queen Mary is progressive, quietly confident and determined, not to mention loyal to its causes and friends, but it can feel misunderstood and isolated. Definitely known as the underdog among London universities, it is one of the most diverse and inclusive. The ‘golden’ middle child, Harry Styles fans might say.

Goldsmiths: Gemini

Artistic and political? What more would you want from the twin sign? Not only is Goldsmith endlessly curious and quirky, but it is also incredibly multitalented and always rocking eccentric hairstyles.

Next up, the fire signs.

KCL: Leo

Apart from the fact its coat of arms is two lions, KCL has the style and the grades. It’s a charismatic, bold prima donna, just like a Leo. Protective of its students and image, KCL is fierce and sophisticated and is guaranteed to give blazer-clad main character energy walking along the Strand.

Imperial: Aries

If London unis were a family, Imperial would be the eldest daughter. Just like an Aries, Imperial is competitive, determined, driven, and always ready to pull an all-nighter. However, its ambition can sometimes come off as self-centred. With its South Kensington campus, it’s no wonder Imperial is known to be so proud and intense.

And finally, we have the earth signs.

LSE: Capricorn

Since Capricorns are ruled by Saturn, the planet of status and career, it makes sense that LSE is one of them. Hyper-focused on success and internships at Goldman Sachs or Deloitte, there is no joking around or social life when it comes to LSE. It’s all about prestige and networking. Forget about Freshers’ Fair, tell me more about why I should accept you on LinkedIn.

SOAS: Virgo

Ah, SOAS, what would we do without you? SOAS is such Virgo energy- inquisitive and looking for beauty everywhere, evident in its range of fascinatingly unique degrees. Just like a Virgo, it is loyal, quietly romantic, and never wants to take centre stage. It can be shy at first, but once the doors open, it’s warm and friendly.

RHUL: Taurus

via Google Maps

Last but not least, we have Royal Holloway – our Taurus friend. RHUL will stick with you through thick and thin, and your friendship will stand the test of time (it was literally established in 1849). A lover of nature and greenery, RHUL thrives on comfort and stability but is nevertheless grounded and hard-working. However, it can be stubborn, especially when insisting that it’s a London university despite being outside the M25.
