What Chris Di Cesare does now after horrifying events he endured in True Haunting on Netflix

Chris Di Cesare is the focal point of the first three episodes of James Wan’s real life docuseries True Haunting on Netflix – and his experiences in Erie Hall have everyone truly unnerved. Chris Di Cesare appears in the show himself both in the present day and with an actor playing him in a reenactment, and he has never wavered from his terrifying experiences in Erie Hall dorm C2D1 in SUNY Geneseo. Now there’s a renewed interest into the Chris Di Cesare case after True Haunting on Netflix, here’s where the guy is now after the harrowing events he claims to have been through.

What actually happened to Chris Di Cesare?

Chris Di Cesare claims in True Haunting that he was haunted and plagued by a violent spirit known as Tommy. When he moved into Erie Hall dorm C2D1 in the 80s, he eventually started hearing a disembodied voice calling his name. Not only was this affecting Chris, but his neighbour Jeff Ungar. The haunting eventually morphed into a full on apparition known as Tommy.

It all started happening after the campus got paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren to speak and Lorraine refused to shake Chris’ hand. Chris was then removed from the stage by Ed. 11 days later, weird stuff started happening. In True Haunting, Chris says “I thought, ‘I’m losing my mind,’ ” he recalled. “I couldn’t tell if what I was seeing or hearing was true. I didn’t know if this was reality or if I’m just caught in this never-ending nightmare.”

But then his roommate fled the dorm and said there’s “a dead thing” in there. After trying to contact the ghost to address the situation, Chris claims he came face to face with it. Harrowing. They also got an exorcism after Chris was attacked by the Tommy ghost in the shower and it slashed his back, and eventually the priest came to the dorm.

Chris believes Tommy was Lt Thomas Boyd who was tortured during the revolutionary war right by a tree near campus that Chris ran by. Worse still, it was Chris’ ancestor on his mum’s side who found Thomas ‘Tommy’ Boyd’s body. Creepy.
