TWO popular items are making their return to the Wetherspoons menu including an “elite” breakfast option.
Foodies have been quick to express their excitement over the comeback of both dishes, which are already available to order at the beloved chain.

Making its return exclusively to the breakfast menu is the smashed avocado muffin.
The dish is a fan-favourite with one customer even describing it as the “breakfast of champions.”
It was reintroduced to the menu on October 1 and will set customers back £2.99.
The muffin is served with guacamole, pico de gallo and rocket, with the option to add maple-cured bacon or a poached egg.
Included in the price is also a complimentary tea, coffee or hot chocolate, with free refills.
The beloved dish has previously been described by users on X as “absolutely elite.”
Another fan wrote: “Anyone had the smashed avocado English muffin at Wetherspoon?
“It’s very nice. The pico de gallo adds so much flavour.
“I’ll be having that again.”
Another popular item that has made a recent return is the chicken breast burger.
Both dishes have been reintroduced after briefly being removed from menus in May earlier this year.
The new burger comes complete with a side salad and is on sale for £8.19 with a soft drink or £9.72 with an alcoholic beverage.
Also making its debut on the menu is the all new sticky Korean grilled chicken bowl with coconut-flavour rice.
This dish offers a healthier alternative to the beloved fried chicken bowl.
Retailing for £8.99, the chicken is tossed in Korean-style sauce with coriander and sliced chillies.
This comes after the chain announced the opening of 15 new pubs starting next month.
Locations including Lincoln, Bristol and Cramlington are all set to get a new pub.
The new openings follow the chain’s signing of a new franchise agreement with The Papas Group.
Michael Barron, Wetherspoon commercial director, said: “We are delighted to have signed agreements with The Papas Group.
“We are looking at further opportunities and are confident that more franchise agreements will be signed.”
Wetherspoons is not the only chain to recently bring back popular items.
Earlier this month The Sun reported that Mcdonald’s has reintroduced a fan-favourite.
The honeycomb latte has made its return exclusively for Autumn.
Retailing for just £2.89, customers can indulge in its smooth flavour with a sweetness of honeycomb syrup, topped with cream and real honeycomb pieces.
Also returning to the menu are the cult favourite Mozzarella Dippers and the Philly Cheese Stack.
How can I save money at Wetherspoons?

FREE refills – Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and you can get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.
Check a map – Prices can vary from one location the next, even those close to each other.
So if you’re planning a pint at a Spoons, it’s worth popping in nearby pubs to see if you’re settling in at the cheapest.
Choose your day – Each night the pub chain runs certain food theme nights.
For instance, every Thursday night is curry club, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a set price cheaper than usual.
Pick-up vouchers – Students can often pick up voucher books in their local near universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.
Get appy – The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table – but you don’t need to be in the pub to use it.
Taking full advantage of this, cheeky customers have used social media to ask their friends and family to order them drinks. The app is free to download on the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date – Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.
It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.
As well as its 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival.
