A new website has been launched to support Chinese students coming to the University of Birmingham.
Created by the university, the China-focused website is designed to provide prospective students, their families, and educational partners with a more accessible pathway to studying in Birmingham.
Tailored specifically for international audiences, the website offers comprehensive information on entry requirements, scholarship opportunities, and student life at the university.
It also provides updates on upcoming events and allows users to connect with the university through its official WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and Weibo channels, the University of Birmingham reports.
These platforms enable direct communication with prospective students, allowing them to ask questions, receive updates on upcoming events, and connect with current students and alumni. Visitors can register their details to receive personalised updates and guidance throughout their application journey.

Carlo Amas, director of student recruitment and marketing at the university, said: “We believe our new China-focused website will prove extremely useful for prospective students.”
The website launch forms part of a wider initiative to enhance support for Chinese students and graduates. The university recently partnered with NICE and JITRI to offer one-year industry placements in China for students in engineering, biosciences, computer science, and environmental engineering.
In another step to boost graduate employability, Birmingham has joined forces with the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA) to provide exclusive access to career fairs and professional development opportunities for returning Chinese graduates.
More than 200 recent alumni attended a recruitment fair in Shanghai as part of SORSA’s Global Higher Education President Forum.
The university has also partnered with the University of Glasgow to launch a joint initiative with JOBShaigui, a leading graduate career platform in China. The collaboration offers online seminars on the Chinese job market, recruitment guidance, and networking opportunities with top employers and alumni.
