MPUMALANGA
The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms in Mpumalanga. These conditions may bring heavy downpours, flooding of vulnerable roads, low-lying areas and bridges, significant hail, strong winds and intense lightning.
A foggy morning is expected along the escarpment; otherwise, the day will be cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers, becoming isolated in the Lowveld and northern escarpment. It will be cold along the escarpment.
MBOMBELA
In Mbombela, the provincial capital, conditions will be cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers, with a high of 17°C expected.
FREE STATE
Partly cloudy conditions are expected across the Free State. It will be windy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, becoming scattered over the eastern and central regions. Increased cloud cover is expected in the east.
A yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms has been issued. Heavy downpours, flooding of vulnerable roads and low-lying areas, small hail, strong winds and intense lightning may occur over parts of the province.
BLOEMFONTEIN
Temperatures will range from 13°C to 24°C. Conditions will be partly cloudy and windy, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
NORTHERN CAPE
Improved conditions are expected in the Northern Cape. A foggy morning is likely along the coast, otherwise it will be fine, windy and hot to very hot, with partly cloudy conditions in the extreme east. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh north-westerly.
KIMBERLEY
Partly cloudy and windy conditions are expected, with temperatures ranging from 13°C to 29°C.
UPINGTON
Upington will be fine and windy, with temperatures ranging from 19°C to 35°C.
