WAYNE Rooney has had a relaxing start to his 40th birthday celebrations – after Coleen whipped him away for a pilates-themed weekend break.
The Wag treated the former England and Manchester United ace to a luxury weekend stay at Lakes by Yoo.

And the trip started in style with helicopters whisking landing on the lawn of the Rooneys’ £20m mansion and flying them and pals including Michael Carrick to the Cotswolds.
Once onboard the group tucked into champagne before arriving at the wildlife holiday retreat, which counts footballer Jack Grealish, Take That’s Mark Owen and model Kate Moss among celebrities who stay at its multi-million pound luxury lakeside lodges.
During the weekend, the group took part in a private pilates class with each mat embossed with “WR40” to mark Wazza turning 40 on 24 October.
A source said: “Wayne might not be as fit as he used to be when he was playing professional football, but he and the other boys got stuck in and gave pilates a go. It’s not as easy as it looks.
“Coleen has been doing it for ages so she was able to give him some tips.”
The Rooneys took advantage of the international break to get away as it meant Wayne didn’t have to perform his Match of the Day pundit duties.
Last month Wayne paid tribute to his loyal wife and credited her with saving his life by stopping him from becoming an alcoholic.
The former Manchester United striker told how he had always struggled to balance the pressures of his football career with his life of a boozy night out.
In a new interview with Rio Ferdinand’s podcast, an emotional Wayne said: “I honestly believe if she weren’t there I’d be dead.
“Coleen is massive. I’ve made mistakes in the past which are well documented and whatever but I’m a little bit different at times and she keeps me on that path and she’s done it for 20-odd years.”
Coleen and Wayne first started dating when they were just 16 and married in 2008.
They have four boys Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.
