Watch the moment Big Brother’s Caroline issues grovelling apology to Zelah after saying ‘worst thing she could say’

BIG Brother housemate Caroline Monk has issued a grovelling apology to co-star Zelah Glasson after saying the ‘worst thing she could say’.

Caroline, 56, appeared to make transphobic remarks when she misgendered housemate Zelah during a game of spin the bottle.

She was hauled into the Diary Room where she was given a formal warning for her comments and behaviour.

Caroline was informed that any further instance of such language could result in her removal from the house.

Big Brother have posted a teaser online suggesting Caroline tries to clear the air with her fellow housemate.

Speaking in the clip, the PR Executive says: “All I wanted to do was make trouble.

“Not for you, but for Nancy and Cameron.

“The whole thing was just so she’d have to say him.”

Zelah replies: “I think Feyisola and the others kind of noticed the direction it was going in, because of the whole reproducing thing.

“I think they were trying to, like, help you in that sense and guide it away.

“What really hit about me what you said was, I think it first the sectioning me away from the guys, with the whole reproductive thing.

“All that was tough and then it was like, ‘She’s a girl’… it hurt.”

Following this, Caroline said: “Why did it come out of my mouth? I’ve got no excuse.”

Zelah remarked he knows Caroline “comes from a good place” and described the situation as a “moment.”

He added: “It hurt, which also shocks me because I think I haven’t been in that scenario for a really long time.

“I’m lucky enough to pass as a man. I mean, we are friends.”

Caroline chimed in: “I hope we are.”

Elsewhere, Caroline is not the only housemate to have caused a controversy in the house.

The Sun revealed bosses booted George Gilbert from the show over “unacceptable language and behaviour”.

ITV confirmed the 23-year-old had been pulled from the house and wouldn’t be returning.

Big Brother 2025 housemates

The initial housemates who entered the house were:

  • Caroline, 56, a PR specialist from Canvey Island.
  • Zelah, 25, a personal trainer from South London.
  • Teja, 18, a cleaner from Bristol.
  • Emily, 25, a political events manager from Northampton (evicted).

Four new housemates were announced to enter the house as late arrivals:

  • Feyisola, 33, a financial investigator from London.
  • George, 23, a parish councillor from Braintree.
  • Richard, 60, a composer and author from London.

Big Brother spokesperson told The Sun: “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.”

The housemate already received a formal warning for his language earlier in the week, which was broadcast as part of Monday’s episode.

It is understood that a number of other instances have seen the housemate spoken to by Big Brother but have not been broadcast as a result of going against broadcasting standards.

This is also the case with tonight’s episode which will feature George before his ejection from the programme, but fans won’t be able to see the comments that got him the boot.
