A MUM-TO-BE has been left fuming after her own mother ruined her gender reveal.

They are a sweet way of sharing a special moment with loved ones; however, expectant mother Gianna D’Alessio had her day ruined when her own mother played a cruel trick on her.
Taking to TikTok, the US-based creator, 23, shared a video of herself and her husband Gregorio, 46, using confetti cannons in the garden.
The duo had asked Gianna’s mum, Angel Wulff to find out the gender and plan the reveal, so they expected that the canons would either have blue or pink confetti in them.
However, the couple and their guests were left confused when blue confetti burst out of one canon, and pink confetti came out of the other one.
Perplexed, the pair then turned to Angel, who appeared with a black balloon and a T-shirt on that said: “Keeper of the gender”.
Angel then popped the balloon, and pink confetti burst out, revealing the couple were expecting a girl.
“Unfortunately, I had no idea that I wouldn’t be revealing my own daughter’s gender”, she said in the video, which was taken in 2023 but is only now going viral.
“And neither did anyone else”.
However, Gianna added that she was “too happy we were having a girl” to be that mad about the situation.
The video has garnered a lot of controversy, with many slamming Angel for taking away Gianna and Gregoria’s special moment.
However, Gianna claims she does not care.
“Everyone is calling her out for wanting to be the centre of attention, and it’s true. Her goal was to put attention on herself,” she told TODAY.com
“But I didn’t even care. I was so nervous it might be a boy, so when I saw pink, I was just happy.”
However, Angel disagrees with this, adding in the same interview: “I was excited to actually reveal the gender to them and surprise them,” she said.
