The South African version of international show, Love is Blind is among the shows teased by streaming giant, Netflix, for 2026 release.
The announcement was made as part of the What Next teaser by the company. The show’s Season 1 will be on our screens later this year.
The exact date is yet to be announced.
The success of the show on international shores is almost confirmation that the same will happen in South Africa, especially after the streaming company’s success with another South African relationship show, The Ultimatum.
The Ultimatum: South Africa was in the Top 10 for four weeks on Netflix, garnering the interest of international audiences.
Also on Netflix’s slate for 2026 is Peaky Blinder: The Mortal Man, 180, Fatal Seduction: Season 3, Bridgerton: Season 4, One Piece: Season 2 and Yo! Bestie.
Other ‘Love is Blind’ adaptations:
The original Love is Blind is the US version, which has had 10th seasons thus far.
The UK instalment has two seasons under its belt, while Italy’s version was in its first season in 2025.
Other adaptations of the show include Brazil, Japan, Sweden, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, and the Middle East.
The ‘Love is Blind’ first success story
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton from the US’s first season are still going strong after getting married in November 2018.
They had their first son, Ezra William Hamilton, on the 1st October, 2025.
