Gauteng will experience warm and partly cloudy weather today, with temperatures rising ahead of mild late-afternoon cloud development.
The South African Weather Service predicts that the province will experience far more stable conditions compared to earlier in the week.
Clearer skies dominate the morning in Gauteng
Forecaster Phemelo Zonke says Gauteng residents can expect a pleasant morning with comfortable temperatures.
“We are expecting a warm day across much of Gauteng, with partly cloudy skies developing gradually into the afternoon,” she explained.
Pretoria is expected to peak at around 27°C, while Johannesburg will reach the mid-20s. Visibility should remain clear throughout the morning, making road conditions favourable.
Low chance of isolated showers
Although the atmosphere holds some moisture, today’s conditions are generally stable. Zonke noted that “there is only a small possibility of isolated showers in limited areas, mainly later in the afternoon.”
These showers, if they develop, are not expected to be severe. Most parts of Gauteng will remain dry, with light winds and a warm feel through the early evening. Residents can expect calm weather with minimal disruptions to outdoor plans.
Mild evening ahead
Temperatures will cool gradually after sunset, with partly cloudy skies lingering into the evening. The province will remain warm tomorrow, continuing the trend of stable summer weather.
Light breezes from the northwest will keep conditions comfortable, while no major weather warnings are in effect for today.
