WALKERS have discontinued an “incredible” flavour of a beloved crisp for a second time in 13 years – leaving devastated shoppers mourning the axe.
The snack giant made the heartbreaking announcement following a slew of other cancellations which have hit their Max Strong and Sensations lines.

The latest flavour on the chopping board is the Prawn Cocktail Quavers.
Shoppers are now grieving the latest loss to the crisps world.
Walkers said: “Confirming on background that Quavers Prawn Cocktail have now been discontinued and Quavers Salt & Vinegar were discontinued last year.”
Emotional fans poured out on social media to spread the news of the sudden discontinuation.
One prawn cocktail-lover said: “Have you discontinued prawn cocktail quavers?
“Please say no! I can’t find them anywhere.”
Walkers replied on X: “We’ll try break this news gently… sadly Prawn Cocktail Quavers are no-longer part of our range.”
The mourning shopper hit back, saying: “They are my favourites.
“I really hope you bring them back in the future.”
Describing the scrumptious flavour of the popular snack, one user said: “Well Prawn Cocktail Quavers are incredible. That is all.”
The fan-favourite Quavers flavour was re-introduced to UK shelves back in 2021.
It was previously axed all the way back in 2012.
It comes after Walkers discontinued another popular flavour – leaving fans desperately searching the shelves for the discontinued product.
Max Texan BBQ was launched in partnership with Pizza Hut back in 2023 but it has now made way for the release of new crisp flavours.
One disappointed fan wrote on social media site X.com: “Why can’t I find Walkers Max Pizza Hut Texan BBQ Crisps in the supermarket?
“I usually buy a bag each time I shop as they are a favourite in my house. I haven’t seen them for at least 6 weeks.”
Walkers confirmed the flavour is no longer part of its offering.
But it isn’t all doom and gloom for crisps fans.
This week, Walkers dropped two brand new flavours which are out for a limited time.
The snack giant is shaking things up with two bold new additions hitting shelves across the UK.
Fans are already racing to supermarkets to get their hands on the limited-edition flavours, which promise to deliver a tasty twist on the nation’s favourite crisps.
Walkers says the new range is perfect for anyone looking to spice up their snack time – but once they’re gone, they’re gone.
