People are convinced Patrick paid to upgrade Kacie‘s engagement ring on Love Is Blind, because her rock looks way bigger than anyone else’s. Basically, he grills her at the reunion about giving the ring back to him, especially as they didn’t even get close to getting married.
So, it turns out that Love Is Blind producers pay for the rings, but the men are allowed to put more towards it if they want an upgrade. And the ring Kacie was proposed to with apparently cost Patrick a whopping $35K minimum, only for her to end things with him.
It’s a five-carat pear solitaire, with jeweller Hera Fine Jewellery analysing that Patrick “definitely paid for this ring with his own money as the show would not provide a huge ring like this for them for free.” And now it all makes sense why Kacie won’t give the ring back.
The rumour is that Patrick allegedly paid $80K to upgrade the ring for Kacie, who wore it for less than 24 hours. Another co-star, Anton, revealed that he paid $5K to upgrade Ali’s ring, on top of the free jewellery that the show provided to him.

Netflix production has already said they aren’t responsible in the event someone pays for an upgrade and the ring isn’t returned. But looking at Kacie’s Instagram page, she no longer even wears the ring, despite refusing to give it back to Patrick, as per his claims.
Patrick said on the Viall Files podcast: “I asked for the ring back, and she stopped talking to me. I asked her for the ring back and she was like, ‘No, you act like you’re the only one that’s hurt in this situation. I’m going to keep the ring.’”
