American rapper Young Miami has accused South African musician Tyla of stealing the concept for her new song, Put Me In Chanel.
Miami claimed that she had played the song for Tyla and expressed her frustration on social media. “This girl really ran off with my song, and I do not know how to feel about it. Mind you, I played this song for this girl,” she wrote. Miami says the original track was titled Take Me To Chanel.
Tyla has not responded to Miami’s allegations and is expected to release her song on 24 October 2025.
The South African star recently spoke to Variety magazine about the sudden challenges of fame and the controversy surrounding her heritage. Despite her success with the viral hit Water, Tyla admitted she was unprepared for the spotlight. She said she felt pressure to do everything “right” and wished she had more time to make mistakes and mature as an artist.
She also credited her musically gifted family with shaping her early life, noting that her home was never quiet thanks to her singing uncle and grandmother.
The Siz The World team recently weighed in on this debacle.
