The Springboks have created some breathing space between themselves and the rest of the world in the latest World Rugby rankings thanks to their win over Ireland on Saturday.

The Springboks added 0.88 points to their points tally following their victory.
South Africa now sit on 93.94 points, 3.61 points clear of their bitter rivals, the All Blacks, who occupy second spot.
They are followed by England, Ireland and France.
The All Blacks beat Wales 52-26 in Cardiff on Saturday, but the result didn’t impact the ranking points of either side.
The Springboks are assured of finishing the 2025 season as the number one team in the world.
Additionally, coach Rassie Erasmus and skipper Siya Kolisi both secured their first-ever wins in Ireland, ending a 13-year drought to make history in Dublin.
Next up is Wales on Saturday, 29 November, in a match that falls outside of the Test window. This will serve as an opportunity for Erasmus to give his fringe players a run.
