Um, the Hawk Tuah girl has just appeared in a very rogue new TV show

Of all the unexpected cameos in 2025, this might just take the crown. Hailey Welch, better known as the Hawk Tuah Girl, has turned up in Glen Powell’s brand new TV show Chad Powers.

Powell’s new series focuses on a character called Russ Holliday, a disgraced NFL player who reinvents himself with a fake face to try and win back his career. The series is based on a viral sketch featuring former NFL player Eli Manning, who goes undercover for football tryouts.

The first two episodes dropped on Disney+ this week, and within the opening five minutes, Welch is on screen.

For anyone who’s managed to avoid the internet in the last year, Welch went viral after a 2024 street-interview TikTok where she described how she makes a man “go crazy in bed,” punctuating it with the now-immortal phrase “you gotta give him that hawk tuah and spit on that thang”.

The clip spread everywhere, eventually leading her to launch her own podcast, Talk Tuah. Welch mostly disappeared from the internet at the end of 2024, after her cryptocurrency release plummeted, leaving a lot of people upset. In April, she was announced to be starring in the TV series.

In Chad Powers, Powell’s character heads to a nightclub with his manager, where he immediately spots Welch and yells: “The f***ing Hawk Tuah Girl is here!” He then mimics her viral line, only for Welch to shut him down with: “My name’s Hailey, d******d.” When he tries to keep the bit going, she doubles down: “Hailey Welch. Hailey Welch is my full human name.” Before leaving, she tells him: “Please don’t tell people we met.”

Speaking afterwards, the 21-year-old told People: “I’m a huge fan of his [Powell]. I’m not even gonna lie to you. I was scared to talk to him, but him, his whole team, they were all great. They were really sweet.”
