Singer Tyla and comedian Trevor Noah bagging nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for 1st February 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Tyla, 23, secures a significant nod in the Best African Music Performance category for her hit single “Push 2 Start.”
This follows her historic 2024 win for “Water,” where she became the youngest African artist to claim the inaugural award.
She faces stiff competition from continental powerhouses like Davido and Wizkid.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s storytelling giant, Trevor Noah, is recognised in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for his second book, Into the Uncut Grass.
Noah, who recently made history by hosting the Grammys five years running, is up against notable figures including Fab Morvan and the Dalai Lama. Though yet to secure a Grammy win, this latest nomination cements his reputation as a global literary and comedic force.
