Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) invites dynamic and recently qualified graduates to apply for the Young Professional-in-Training Programme 2025.

About the Programme
The Young Professional-in-Training Programme is a structured two-year (24 months) initiative that equips graduates with workplace experience, mentoring, and exposure to multiple functions within Transnet Port Terminals.
Participants will receive guidance from mentors and specialists, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to projects and gain the skills required for a successful career in operations, research, and statistical sciences.
Key Responsibilities
As a Young Professional-in-Training, your responsibilities will include:
- Shadowing staff members and participating in structured learning experiences.
- Attending meetings, workshops, and gaining exposure to different functions.
- Executing project tasks individually and collaboratively.
- Producing quality deliverables for project solutions.
- Engaging with customers to understand and meet their requirements.
- Addressing queries promptly and professionally.
- Providing administrative support.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and professional ethics.
- Maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all assigned tasks.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an Honours or Master’s degree in:
- Operations Research
- Statistical Sciences
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Have 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team, solve problems, and pay attention to detail.
