A series of headshots of Siya Kolisi over the course of his Springbok career has left many rugby fans speculating about the nature of his marriage and subsequent split from his ex, Rachel Kolisi.
The 35-year-old will be celebrating his 100th test cap this weekend in Paris, France.
The Boks will take on Les Bleus in the Stade de France for the first time since the 2023 Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.
Rachel and the couple’s two children are currently in the country and are expected to watch the game from the stands.
SIYA KOLISI HEADSHOTS: MARRIAGE, DIVORCE SPECULATION
In celebration of his 100th test cap, SuperSport Rugby posted a collage of headshots of Siya Kolisi over the years.
The first was in 2013, when the rugby star made his debut in green and gold. The last one was this year, as the Zwide-born player gears up for the milestone occasion.
On social media, rugby fans quickly began speculating about Siya’s appearance over the years. A big talking point was how he stopped smiling in the images, particularly from 2016 to 2024, which coincided with his marriage.
Siya and Rachel Kolisi wed in 2016 after dating for several years. A year ago, they called time on their eight-year marriage for undisclosed reasons.
X user @tawac posted: “His smile disappeared when he was married”, while @joshcyp10 added: “Ended that toxic marriage”.
Another, @JacquesMaree73 shared: “Look, he’s smiling again for the first time in ten years!”.

While Siya Kolisi appears to be smiling again, so does his ex, Rachel Kolisi.
