Steven made a very explicit comment about Nelly that we all missed during MAFS UK 2025. Last week it was partner swap week, and Steven headed off to be rematched with April. There, the pair appeared flirty, and Steven made many comments about getting on with her better than his own wife.
April and Steven were laughing and joking, and even poked fun at Nelly whilst she was away. But in a blink and you’d miss it moment, Steven made a very horrible comment about Nelly. Remember when she was unwell and he called her a “f*cking idiot”? It’s along the same lines as that.
April asked Steven what he thought Nelly was up to on her couple swap with Bailey, whilst they were having a good time together. He replied: “Probably asleep already, boring f*cker”. Yep, he’s at it again.
This is definitely worse than any jibes he’s made before, because this time it was pointed. He tried to play off the “f*cking idiot” comment by saying he’d meant the entire situation was idiotic, not Nelly. But, there’s no way of wiggling out of this one. He was talking about Nelly, and aimed the comment at her.
The moment was really quick, and he mumbled the comment so lots of people missed it. “What did Steven say just then? I couldn’t hear him but it seemed nasty,” one person said in a Facebook group. Well, someone on TikTok tracked down the moment, and slowed it right down, so there’s no denying what was said.

One person on Twitter said: “Nelly has had such a horrible time and Steven has never tried with her. He’s making April breakfast in bed, yet when Nelly had a broken rib and needed to be treated with even more affection he called her a f*cking idiot. Justice for Nelly.”
People in the comments of the TikTok video have also called out April, firstly for asking the question and trying to dig around for the response in the first place, and then for not calling Steven out on what he said. “April should’ve said no that’s not fair she just agrees,” one person said.
Other’s noted that Steven appeared to say “no I’m joking” afterwards, but that it’s “never a joke” when you say something like that about your partner. “That wasn’t funny,” another bluntly said.
