THE Cotswolds has some of the most beautiful villages in the UK, and one is home to a very famous family.
David, Victoria Beckham and their four kids quite often escape London to their countryside estate, and have even been spotted down the local pub.

The village where the couple bought their home is Great Tew which is 12 minutes away from the wider known Chipping Norton.
The Beckhams, while their primary house is in Holland Park, bought the converted barn back in the village in 2016.
If you’re curious to see the inside, the nine-bedroom house featured in the Netflix documentary called Victoria Beckham.
The house is near Chipping Norton and on the grounds has a swimming pool, asana, football pitch, greenhouse, chicken coop and beehives.
You might just see the Beckhams out and about too, one visitor revealed on Tripadvisor that he bumped into the Beckhams at the local pub, called The Falkland Arms.
Even if the family aren’t there, the 17th-century pub is a must visit with classic pub food like fish and chips, bubble and squeak, burgers, sandwiches and toasties.
The Beckhams aren’t the only pair to have set up home in Great Tew, in 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent time in the village having signed a two-year lease for a chocolate-box cottage.
According to reports, Canadian singer Shawn Mendes moved to Great Tew in August 2025.
Something unique about Great Tew compared to the other Cotswolds villages, is that it’s privately owned.
It has had many owners over time and currently it belongs to the Johnston family having been bought by them in the 1980s.

Great Tew is full of old stone cottages and in total has 87 Grade II listed buildings.
Also in Great Tew is Soho Farmhouse, which opened 10 years ago and has seen many high profile celebs through its doors.
Princess Eugenie and Cressida Bonas have stayed at the resort, as has Mark Ronson, Boy George and Millie Mackintosh.
Soho Farmhouse is surrounded by 100 acres of countryside and the House has 113 bedrooms and cabins along with a health club, spa and gym.
There are indoor and outdoor pools, sunken hot tubs as well as plenty of activities like horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, tennis and padel.

It doesn’t come cheap though, membership starts from £250 per month.
A ‘piglet’ room at Soho Farmhouse costs from £295 per night – but you must have a membership to book, or Soho Friends membership.
The Cotswolds is becoming increasingly popular amongst the rich and famous with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi famously moving to Chipping Norton.
Meanwhile celebrities including Kamala Harris and Kourtney Kardashian were spotted in Stow-on-the-Wold this summer for Eve Jobs’ wedding.
One Sun Writer grew up in the Cotswolds – and here is her favourite town to visit…

Deputy Travel Editor, Kara Godfrey, said: “My hometown was Witney, which I have often written about before.
“It’s not as quaint as its surrounding villages – the market town is much more functional than pretty with the majority of shops being chain restaurants and high street brands.
“It’s still got an element of the Cotswolds beauty, having just over 1,400 locals.
“Most of the buildings are made from Cotswolds stone and there are still some amazing locally run stores and cafes (my favourite being Hunters, run by an old school friend).
“And while many of the nearby villages often feature on the “worlds most beautiful” list (looking at you Bourton-on-the-Water) there is one a short drive away that I preferred to visit as a child.
“The village of Burford is dubbed the Gateway to the Cotswolds, so you’d be forgiven for thinking it might be a bit boring. But I often spent many an afternoon there, both as a child being dropped off by my mum or haggling lifts with mates as I got older.
“It’s main appeal is it’s pretty high street, with a narrow road lined with pretty Cotswolds buildings.
“Being on a hill, standing at the top means you get the best view of the whole village. And it has remained relatively chain-free when it comes to shops.
There is the Burford Sweet Shop where I’d often fill a brown paper bag with, as well as another Hunter’s cafe selling the best and biggest brownies you’ll ever see.
“And at the bottom was where we would take our crusts from sandwiches we couldn’t finish from lunch, throwing them over the river bridge to the eager ducks.”
Here’s a Cotswolds alternative which is just one hour from London and is set to be a world-famous destination.
Plus, I visited UK’s best kept secret that feels like the Cotswolds without the price.
