We will be hosting our first open meeting at Dry Dock on Thursday 16th October at 5pm for all those interested in joining us as a writer.

We cover everything, from breaking news on campus, to think pieces on the latest viral music.

So, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the meeting.

What actually is The Tab?

Our recent stories include: Leeds PSG holds protests on campus for Palestinian offer holders trapped in Gaza, and From disco Spoons to campus takeover: A full rundown of Bonnie Blue’s Leeds Freshers’ event.

Tab graduates have gone on to write for VICE, BBC, Vogue, BuzzFeed, The Times, ITV, The Guardian, The Independent, The Financial Times and more.

How much do I need to write?

Writing for The Tab is super flexible and fits around your studies. Essentially, you can write as many articles as you like – whether that means writing two or 20. Either way, we offer an amazing opportunity to get your writing out there.

And, regardless of your experience, The Tab’s editorial team is here to help improve your skills. The team also work with an Assistant Editor based at HQ, so you can learn even more from the experts.
