Now that this week’s episodes have just dropped, the bulk of Love Is Blind season nine is officially over. There’s usually one or two people who grind everyone’s gears every year, but this time it’s practically the whole cast. It took a lot of narrowing down, but here are the five biggest Love Is Blind villains this season.
5. Patrick
He didn’t even make it to the altar, but Patrick has left a mark on this season of Love Is Blind – for the wrong reasons. The construction manager was in the middle of several love triangles, but his strongest connection was definitely with Anna. So when she left, and he went straight to Kacie, it was a sharp turn. Watching him get rejected right after proposing was painful, but watching him pretend he was in love with Kacie was worse.
4. Nick
Nick’s main crime is just being annoying. The 28-year-old was a headache to watch this whole season, from yelling at Theo in the pods because she isn’t religious, to his behaviour at the couples parties, it’s been a painful experience. He’s another “I love you” warrior, saying it to two different girls in the pods before settling with Annie. Good luck to her.
3. Anton
Ali and Anton are actually insanely incompatible. Last week, when Ali got introduced to Anton’s friends, she found out he was a party boy less than six months before their engagement and regularly went to strip clubs. He also lied about how much he drinks, which is a major red flag. But the reason he’s so high up is because he told Edmund that Kalybriah not sleeping with him yet was a bad sign, and he’d be worried if it were him. Very strange.
2. Edmund
The 29-year-old athlete comes a close second for biggest villain of this season. At first he came across as endearing and quite funny, but ever since his big disagreement with Kalybriah, I’ve gone off him. Edmund’s whole “nice guy” rant was genuinely scary, and his conflict resolution skills are shockingly low for a grown man. What makes it more annoying is he plays it off as ignorance and tries to make Kalybriah look like the bad guy in every situation, even when he starts the argument.
1. Joe
Coming out the pods, Joe made things immediately weird with his comments on Madison’s weight during a confessional. He said he didn’t usually date “bigger” girls and that he’d try and build on the attraction. But from then on, he’s been an awful partner, starting arguments over everything. Joe’s only redeeming quality is his humour – he can actually be really funny sometimes. But then he makes Madison cry again and no one’s laughing anymore.
