The celebrity spin-off will see stars including Stephen Fry, 68, former Olympic diver Tom Daley, 31, and comedian Alan Carr, 49, compete in a Scottish castle to win up to £100,000 for charity.
In an exclusive chat with The Sun on Sunday ahead of the series starting on Wednesday, Paloma said: “It is not on camera – I went to see them [welfare] all the time. Yeah it was a therapist.
“I definitely learned some things about myself that I thought I had moved on from, from my childhood and everything.
“I guess it is a game of trust isn’t it so it is quite unsettling when you feel like everyone you know might not be as trustworthy as they seem – everyone is playing a game and it is hard to rationalise.”
The show sees the group work together to eliminate the “traitors” in the group so the “faithfuls” can share the prize money.
However if a traitor is unmasked in the final then they win the entire prize money pot.
Chatting at Clays in London’s Soho, she added: “Everyone who I have spoken to who is on it says they are worried about the edit because everybody could be painted as absolutely awful or absolutely gorgeous and it is up to whoever is editing to decide.
“I was surprised at the psychological impact on me – I thought that I would be able to keep thinking it was a game but when you get in it you are quite isolated for a long time from the outside world as you are not allowed contact.
“It is quite quick that your mind turns towards that tunnel vision and you get quite caught up in it in a way that I wasn’t expecting – I thought I would laugh everything off.”
Asked if she got emotional, Paloma added: “Yes.”
But the Only Love Can Hurt Like This hitmaker said she has kept in touch with YouTuber Niko Omilana, 27, and actress Ruth Codd, 29, following the show.
She said: “I made really good friends with Niko. I think he is wonderful and Ruth. Those two were my favourites.”
In March The Sun revealed that Paloma was in a relationship with Stevie Thomas, who is the director of a music venue in Birmingham.
It comes after Paloma split from the father of her two children, artist Leyman Lahcine, in 2023 after a decade together.
Asked if her children are excited to watch Celebrity Traitors, she said: “They love it – the four year old won’t know what is going on but the eight year old loves it.”
Meanwhile Paloma said that she loved host Claudia Winkleman’s wardrobe during the series, adding: “She has really upped the game on this series – some of the outfits were beyond.”

She also revealed that the celebs are worried about the edit they will recieve[/caption]
