Jordan Brand is bringing back the famous Air Jordan 6 Infrared this year, under the new moniker “Salesman.”
This release is inspired by a legendary unreleased sample from 1999. The “Salesman” colourway is all about the details, dropping with special packaging and a hangtag that mimics how rare samples are sent out to retailers for review. It’s a nod to the behind-the-scenes sneaker culture and a bold tribute to the Suede’s legacy as a cultural icon.

The AJ6 is the shoe that started it all for Michael Jordan. He rocked the Infrared 6s during the 1991 playoffs, clinching his first NBA title and kicking off a dynasty. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the AJ6 Infrared has seen a few re-releases, but the “Salesman” is different. This version brings back the extended Infrared midsole from the 1999 sample, a black nubuck upper, visible Air unit in the heel, and a Dynamic Fit inner sleeve. Jordan Brand went deep on the details, reverse engineering the exact shade of Infrared and tweaking the shape and tongue height to match the OG pairs MJ wore on court. There’s even sample text on the inner collar and special packaging to complete the vibe.

Look out for the Air Jordan 6 Infrared ‘Salesman’ to release on Saturday, 14 February 2026 via Nike SNKRS ZA (1:00 PM). The retail price is set at R 4 099,95.
