Teen girl forced into car in broad daylight attack in major UK city – as two men charged with kidnap

TWO men have been charged with kidnap after a 15-year-old girl was forced into a car on a busy city centre street in a terrifying daylight ordeal.

Mohammed Ali, aged 49, and his son Luqman Ali, 20, attempted to bundle the teen into a vehicle in central Birmingham.

The terrified girl was only saved when members of the public stopped the two men from driving off.

She managed to escape from the vehicle and ran into a nearby shop to ask for help.

The two suspects were quickly arrested at the scene for their role in the harrowing incident.

Both Mohammed and Luqman are charged with kidnapping, Mohammed is also accused of false imprisonment and assault.

The pair have been remanded in custody and will appear before city magistrates today.

Police said: “We are aware of misinformation circulating about the incident, and so we are confirming that the suspects and victim are of British Asian heritage.

“Our investigation continues and anyone with information, mobile phone or dash cam footage, has been asked to get in touch via 101, quoting 20/406171/25.”
