THREE teenage boys are living the ‘stuff of dreams’ – after going back to school £500,000 richer thanks to their superstar filly.
Horse whisperers Fionn White, 16, and brothers Jack and Max Galway, 17 and 13 respectively, struck gold at the big Tattersalls Book 2 sales on Monday.

They sold a hugely promising daughter of super stallion Minzaal for a massive 450,000 guineas – roughly £472,500 – to top trainer Karl Burke.
Having bought her as a foal for around £75,000, the boys made a healthy £400,000 profit.
Sharing it between the three of them they each pocketed around £130,000 – comfortably more than their teachers will make in a year.
This is the second big win for White, who last year made around £200,000 from the sale of a colt at Tattersalls.
The price of this latest horse skyrocketed after her sister won a Listed race for legendary trainer Jessica Harrington.
White said ‘the sweat was pumping out of me’ as the bidding on their latest offering went up and up and up at the top sales, where earlier this month football superagent Kia Joorabchian spent £3.8m on a colt by Frankel.
White told Thoroughbred Daily News: “I didn’t expect it at all. I can’t get over it.
“I can’t even put it into words.
“Jack, Max and I went around the foal sales together.
“Jack and Max had to go back to school but, because I was in a transition year, I had the year off and spent that with Baroda Stud (in County Kildare, Ireland).
“I really liked her as a foal so I followed her in.
“The sweat was pumping out of me (as the bidding went up). I can’t really put it into words.
“We’re going back to school tomorrow.”
North Yorkshire-based Burke, a multiple Group 1-winning handler with earnings in excess of £3m in Britain alone this season, wasn’t going to leave without buying the horse.
He is a big fan of the sire and said: “She has been bought for an owner in the yard.
“I did not think that she would get to that amount.
“It is a lot of money – hopefully she can run!”
Some punters saw the funny side of it all – shocked at the sums these horses sell for.
One joked: “When you put your kids to bed tonight, take a long hard look at them and ask why they’re not turning €85,000 into 450,000gns when their son of Minzaal was knocked down to Karl Burke at Book 2.”
