Divarni and Julia-Ruth’s time on MAFS was fraught from the very start, but it seems that even things she did off the show were enough to get her husband rattled.
Sitting down on a childhood friend’s podcast, Girl Guess What, Divarni addressed the moment Julia-Ruth hired a random dude to play him in a music-video style response. If you’re not aware of Juicy-Roo’s music video essays, you’re in for a wild ride.
“I have [seen it], I was f**king p**sed,” he admitted. “100 per cent I was f*cking p**sed. The reason I was pissed is that I already went through sh*t on the show with her. Even though we had our goods and our bads, it was the dwelling and the mockery of me.”
He said that after filming the show, which obviously took place months before we watched it, Julia-Ruth was still taking shots at him and being “disrespectful.”

He added: “I wasn’t standing on that. I did see the comments, and people wanting me to respond back, but I’m not going to stoop down to that level, respectfully. I’m just not that type of person. I’m not going to give you the air that I already gave you on the show.”
People seemed to get what he was saying in the comments, as one person wrote: “Tbh I think he’s such a decent guy, Julia Ruth really mistreated him and he was still a gentleman towards her.”
“Team Divarni. Decent man, nuff love and respect to you,” another said.

The truth is, I’m just a woman who was trying to find love and connection. Joe and I ended up taking a very spontaneous trip together, and honestly, it was amazing. I hadn’t laughed that much in months, he reminded me of who I am and how I deserve to be treated. That said, things didn’t end the way I expected. We had planned for me to visit him again after our trip, but the day before I was meant to go, I was ghosted. I never got an explanation, and we haven’t really spoken since. It hurt, but I don’t regret the experience itself or getting to know Joe. What I do regret is that our actions caused hurt to others ( Maeve in particular ) and for that, I’m truly sorry. Just to be clear: both of our relationships had ended for different reasons before we connected. Julia-Ruth’s MAFS music videos might have enraged her husband, but she was thrilled to drop the three-party series with equally as jarring captions.
The first was the one with the fake Divarni, which addressed the intimacy issues they were facing on the show. Real-life Divarni exposed how they were actually having sex, but his wife bit back at that moment in the clip.
The second music video centred around arguably the most explosive dinner party of the season. You know the one. In the music video recreation, she smeared food all over herself wearing nothing but underwear. Though I think the message got lost in translation a little, the aesthetics ate. The third and final addition to the series was dessert, which was largely about her MAFS experience as a whole and her sunny holiday with Joe.
I think Divarni can breathe easier knowing Julia-Ruth’s music video days are behind her.
