The Springboks have been placed in Pool B alongside Italy, Georgia and Romania for the 2027 World Cup in Australia.
As the defending champions and No 1 ranked team in the world, South Africa are one of four teams in Pool B for the 2027 tournament.
The pool allocation draw was completed in Sydney on Wednesday, and broadcast live across the world with all teams participating virtually.
