Right, there’s no doubt that Sparkle Megan has to have one of the most recognisable and divisive nicknames ever featured on Love Is Blind.
The entire season I’ve been wondering whether the nickname is actually real or not, and how on earth it came about in the first place.

Well, wonder no more, as Sparkle Megan appeared on AD’s What’s The Reality podcast to explain the origins of her infamous Love Is Blind nickname.
AD first asked Megan during the interview: “We have to talk about your nickname Sparkle Megan. How long have you been called that, and did you think it would end up being so polarising?”
She replied: “No. I’m half regretting the decision to say it. It has been my identify amongst my friends, so it’s certainly wasn’t something I made up, which is what a lot of people were speculating.
“So, I do have a group of friends in Denver, that there’s two of us Megan’s. And yeah, I mean I have bedazzled everything, shoes, car, whatever. So those girlfriends call me Sparkle. They don’t say Sparkle Megan but yeah.”

Megan continued: “And then what a lot of people didn’t see on the show was that there also was anther Megan on our season. And so instead of going into the pods and saying, ‘hey, I’m Megan W,’ I was like this is going to stand out for better, or for worse.”
She added: “I also thought this might be a good test and a good way to weed out if these guys can’t take a joke like Sparkle Megan then f*ck off.
“Well, and everybody even outside of the friend group do call me Sparkle Megan, even people at my gym, they tell me that sparkle is my brand.”
