South African actress Samukele Mkhize is officially off the market

Skeem Saam actress Samukele Mkhize has announced that she’s officially off the market.
Mkhize, best known for her role as Khwezi in the SABC educational drama Skeem Saam, shared the news with fans, writing: “He said, ‘Let’s get married,’ and I was like, ‘Say no more!’”
The actress first hinted at her relationship status back in 2022 when she posted a photo wearing traditional bridal attire.
She captioned the image “24.09.22”, along with cow emojis and wedding hashtags, suggesting that her lobola negotiations had gone smoothly.
Celebrities, including Nozuko Ntshangase, Florence Mokgatsi, and DJ Happygirl SA, took to the comments to congratulate her on the milestone.
Born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, Mkhize is known for her roles as Mabuyi in the Mzansi Magic drama Isibaya and as Khwezi Gasela in Skeem Saam.
She began her acting journey in 2006, performing in dance, drama, and music with a group in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal.
Her passion for the arts later saw her recognised in theatre circles, earning nominations at the Durban Mercury Theatre Awards.
Mkhize holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Johannesburg and is also a singer-songwriter, voice-over artist, motivational speaker, and filmmaker.
