Well, we’ve had our first murder on The Celebrity Traitors – and alas it was pop icon Paloma Faith. Ar Paloma going so early was certainly unexpected because she’s one of the bigger names in the cast – and not only that but she’s very pally with those in Traitors tower. Namely, Alan Carr, whose casting as a Traitor has been one of the most hilarious things ever put to TV. Alan’s first task was for the Traitors to touch the face of someone to murder a Faithful in plain sight and he had to do it because out of Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns Alan is definitely the most tactile. He chose to kill Paloma Faith, a shocking choice because Alan Carr is close to her but also one that made his The Celebrity Traitors task easier because they’re close. However, she hasn’t took it well at all.
Paloma Faith and Alan Carr are mates, so she’s furious
Paloma Faith and Alan Carr have been close friends for years – hanging out outside of any TV stuff they’ve done together. We saw on The Celebrity Traitors that Alan Carr and Paloma Faith had a close friendship and just before he chose her to be the one who got poisonous pollen rubbed on her cheeks she said she trusted him completely. Err, do you know what game you’re playing my love!?
Since she got murdered by the Traitors, Paloma Faith has not been happy and whilst at first it might seem like she was just having a joke – no. She’s genuinely angry with Alan.

Speaking to Ed Gamble about it all, Paloma said that when Gamble said Alan had a difficult decision that he was affording the comedian too much grace and being too nice about the situation.
“I think you’re being nice,” Paloma replied. “If the shoe was on the other foot, I would not have touched Alan’s face. Categorically, he had a choice – maybe it was the easiest option, but it was the choice he made and I don’t think it was very nice.”
“I still maintain to this day that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn’t have done that. So I don’t think he should have done it to me and I’m surprised that he did.” Whilst she was genuinely annoyed, she says Alan Carr is “extremely lovable”. She continued: “I’ve spoken to him since and I do find forgiveness quite an easy thing, just as a person, so I love him.”
