Police in Limpopo have recovered a seventh body following a tragic crash on the R518 near Mogalakwena Bridge in the Waterberg District.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the body of a man was found about a kilometre from the crash site on Friday, 26 December 2025, after search and rescue operations continued along the river.
The recovery follows a fatal accident on Wednesday, 24 December 2025, in which a white Suzuki mini truck travelling towards Mokopane allegedly crashed into a bridge barrier at around 9:30.
Six people, including two men and two women, were confirmed dead at the scene.
Five adults and two children who were injured in the crash were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police have opened a case of culpable homicide, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
