Two worshipers were killed, 66-year-old Melvin Crazvitz and 53-year-old Adrian Daulby.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Mr Daulby was shot mistakenly by police during the armed response, which was described by Chief Constable Sir Stephen Watson as a “tragic and unforeseen consequence” of efforts to stop the attacker.
Six days on from the attack, floral tributes continue to be left outside the synagogue alongside messages expressing sympathy and solidarity from across Manchester.
