- Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Inxiweni Primary School principal Ruth Tabu (58) and administrative assistant Nobantu Njombini (55) in Tembisa.
- A 26-year-old female school employee was arrested on 19 November, followed by a 35-year-old male suspect early on 21 November.
- Both will appear in Tembisa Magistrates’ Court on 24 November 2025, while police investigations continue.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of a principal and an administrative staff member at Inxiweni Primary School in Tembisa.
The arrests follow the fatal shooting of two women, principal Ruth Nozibele Tabu (58) and administrative assistant Nobantu Njombini (55), who were gunned down inside the school administrative block on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the first suspect, a 26-year-old woman and an employee at the school, was arrested on Wednesday, 19 November.
The second suspect, a 35-year-old man, was arrested in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 21 November.
Both suspects are set to appear before the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 24 November 2025, where they will face murder charges. Police investigations are ongoing.
