This comes amid a petition, started by Americans, to revoke his US citizenship.
The world’s richest man was born in Pretoria and immigrated to Canada, where he acquired citizenship via his maternal ancestry. Since 2002, he has been a naturalised US citizen.

PETITION TO REVOKE US CITIZENSHIP
The poll comes after the same X account reported on a petition, started by Americans, to revoke Elon Musk’s US citizenship.
It references a Change.org petition – which currently has 6000 signatures – which is addressed to authorities, including the US House of Representatives.
The petition accused the world’s richest man of “exerting imbalanced and potentially corrupting influence” on the government and country.
