Ruth Codd says ‘secret hierarchy’ on The Celebrity Traitors put her at major disadvantage

Ruth Codd has arguably been the breakout star of The Celebrity Traitors until her untimely murder at the hands of the Traitors. The only reason they killed Ruth off is because she was one of the cleverest Faithfuls on the show as the rest of them have no clue and keep getting it wrong. Ruth Codd was on the trail of Jonathan Ross, correctly predicting the fact he was a Traitor and the pair were beefing over the fact he said he was starting an alliance with Ruth and Niko when he was in the car on the first day with them and Clare Balding. After the pair continued to clash, Jonathan Ross chose to kill Ruth Codd even though it would flag as sus because he thought it was so obvious it would be a good double bluff. He’s seemingly got away with it, and now Ruth Codd has said she was at a disadvantage on The Celebrity Traitors because she says there’s a “secret hierarchy” not getting shown on camera. INTERESTING.

Ruth said the secret hierarchy is why she got killed off

Ruth Codd has basically claimed she was at a huge disadvantage on The Celebrity Traitors because of a secret hierarchy in the cast that we as an audience are not seeing. “There was probably an unspoken hierarchy in there,” she told The Sunday Times, “and that placed certain people like myself at a disadvantage, because I haven’t been in the industry very long”.

The secret hierarchy seems to suggest those with bigger public platforms are at the top of the food chain in that Traitors castle.

This speaks of how the people who’ve left early on like Niko and Ruth Codd herself are the ones who have a bit more suspicion around them. Whilst Ruth Codd has had some major high profile roles on big Mike Flanagan Netflix horror shows like The Fall of the House of Usher and The Midnight Club – she’s not widely known to a lot of audiences. Although, she did actually become a professional actor because of her huge platform doing sketches and skits on TikTok.

Ruth concluded after she got killed “I knew this was coming. I was murdered definitely because I was a threat to the Traitors. I was one of the few people in the group that had my own mind.”

Like other members of the cast, Ruth Codd explained also that the show is harder than you think and can be quite difficult to film. “You’re quite isolated,” she explained. “You don’t have a phone, you don’t have a TV, you’ve no idea what’s going on in the outside world, so it’s all you’re thinking about.”

Intense!
