‘RIP England’: Rassie follows next Springbok victims

Despite being on an official break, Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has turned his attention to the team’s next opponents – England.

The 53-year-old has followed the X account of South Africa’s rivals, whom they will play in May 2026

Rassie recently renewed his contract with SA Rugby and will remain coach until 2031.

RASSIE FOLLOWS SPRINGBOKS NEXT RIVALS

While the rest of the Springboks staff are likely enjoying their downtime, coach Rassie Erasmus has set his sights on the goings on of the England Rugby X account.

In fact, it’s the only account Rassie is currently following.

“RIP England Rugby!”, popular rugby fan Captain Springbok posted of the observation.

This week, Rassie stated that he was keen for the Springboks to play England in a friendly match before the end of the year.

He said: “If we can squeeze in another Test match before the end of the year tour as a friendly, as we do with other teams, we will be all up for it.

“If we can do another one before we go into the autumn series, we always need a Test match before the end-of-year tour”.

SA VS ENGLAND: ALL THE DETAILS

The Springboks will face England on Saturday, 4 July at Ellis Park.

The countries last played each other during the 2024 end-of-year tour in Twickenham, which South Africa won 29-20. Before that, the rugby rivals clashed at the World Cup semi-final, which the Boks narrowly won 16-15.

Ticket sale dates have not been announced yet.
