In yet another instance of men being, well, men, sports reporter Olivia Cleary was accosted by a group of rowdy dude bros while she was trying to do her job.
The viral incident happened on October 18 when Oregon State University and Lafayette University faced off on the court. Working for ABC affiliate KEZI in Oregon, Olivia was sent to the game to cover it, but a group of unapologetically feral men got in the way.
As Olivia was attempting to cover the game, the group got in the way of the camera, made faces behind her back, and did the viral “6-7” meme over and over again. Another man simply screamed “help” at the top of his lungs.

The clip was initially posted by KEZI sports director Brett Austin Taylor, racking up nearly seven million views. It’s since been shared far and wide, with another viral Twitter post being viewed nearly 14 million times.
Reacting to the clip, one person wrote: “Male loneliness epidemic and it’s just men acting insufferable and repulsive on their own account (for the attention of other men, mind you).”
“You can literally see a tear in her eye towards the end. This is fucking disgusting,” another said.

Someone else added: “My wife freaked out on our son for saying this 6-7 thing. She was like, ‘I do not want you to sound like an idiot.’ I thought she was a little over the top, but then I saw this video.”
Olivia Cleary has since responded, and so has Oregon State

After the clip accumulated more views than half of the 6-7 videos combined, Oregon State’s athletic program issued a response and an apology.
“We’re aware of the incident circulating on social media involving disruptive fan behaviour during a live report. The actions displayed do not reflect the values of Beaver Nation or our fan code of conduct,” it said in one post, before adding in another, “We are reviewing the situation further and apologise to the reporter for her experience. We also commend her professionalism and composure in handling the moment.”
Olivia Cleary also offered her own thoughts on Twitter, and while the internet is collectively up in arms about the situation, she seemed remarkably chill.
