A HEART Radio star is signing off the airwaves after spending six years reading the news.
The presenter took to Instagram to say her thank-you’s and fond farewells after having a blast working alongside Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.

Alice Young was a Radio News Presenter over on Heart Breakfast in London, as well as a multi award-winning journalist and sports reporter.
But now she’s setting down her mic before embarking on a mystery next step.
In her post, smiling in a chair under the lights of the iconic Heart studio, Alice gushed about her time with heart with nothing but joy.
“Heart’s Alice Young, over and out,” the post’s caption began.
“Signing off from the airwaves after the most incredible six years on the radio, and spending the last few doing the news on the biggest commercial radio show, Heart Breakfast with the fab Jamie and Amanda.
“I’m stepping into a new chapter feeling grateful for so many wonderful memories and opportunities at Global and the chance to work with the best of the best along the way.
“Now it’s time for a few weeks off for wedding celebrations and to recharge my batteries after all the early alarm calls.
“And then? I can’t wait to share more on my next adventure very soon.”
Alice finished off the post with some telling hashtags: #newchapter, #newadventures, and #career.
Fans and fellow colleagues of Alice’s flooded the comments section of her post with love and support.
“I will miss you in the building. But exciting things ahead including A WEDDING! big love,” said a colleague.
“So many mixed emotions. Congratulations. I will miss hearing your voice on the radio,” and ” Can’t wait to hear about the new adventure,” echoed others.
Just yesterday Chris Golds made a post to his Instagram account announcing that he’ll be starting a new role as a News Presenter in London with Heart Breakfast alongside Jamie and Amanda.
So it appears Alice’s replacement has already been found.
In a similarly styled Insta post in the Heart studio, Chris penned: “Some news of my own…
“I’m thrilled to say that I’ve got a new role at Global as Heart’s Breakfast News Presenter in London.
“I can’t believe it but I’ll be reading the news for Jamie and Amanda in the mornings – the UK’s biggest commercial breakfast show.
“Heart is such a special brand and I’ve had some amazing times there already over the years with the loveliest people.
“Can’t wait to get back to ‘turn up the feel good’”.
Chris then went on to thank Global for trusting him, as well as send love to to those in his former team at LBC News.
“Thank you to everyone at Global for putting their trust in me but especially to @hollyjonesradio and @timjohnnews for all the support over the years – and getting me to this point.
“The people I work with every day in the newsroom really are the best.
“I have had the best time with the team on LBC News and had the most incredible opportunities, so I’m sad to leave but I’ll still pop up here and there. The rolling news bug never leaves you.
“I’ve got some massive shoes to fill after the incredible @radioaliceyoung has knocked it out the park over the years. So excited for her next adventure.
“I can’t wait to get going. I’m sure my next decade at Global is going to be amazing. See you tomorrow morning at 6am with Lindsey Russell.”
