Known for their moreish crunch and scoff-able size the chocolate sticks are a British Christmas staple.
Matchsticks are full of crunchy orange, peppermint or salted caramel flavoured pieces coated in a blend of milk and dark chocolate.
Eagle-eyed Hotdeals UK user Beadqueen noticed that the family favourite chocolates were half their usual price at discount store B&M.
In supermarket competitors Tesco and Morrisons the chocolate sells for £2, while in Sainsbury’s they are £2.25.
Now only £1 rather than their usual retail price of £1.50 in B&M now is the time to stock up ahead of the big day.
Shoppers will need to be quick to bag the cheap chocolate as they’re only available in-store.
If you are planning a trip it may be worth ringing your local B&M ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
Another Hotdeals UK user said “These are pretty good, I bought two boxes, purchase now people”.
The Quality Street branded chocolate sticks, made by Nestle, are sold all year round but are loved by many as a festive treat at Christmas.
The deal has obviously come as a surprise to shoppers because it is rare for anything to be discounted in the lead up to Christmas.
Days after Christmas it is common to see chocolate, sweets and other food items massively reduced as people try and cut their spending and eating after a month of indulgence.
It is likely that the closer we get to Christmas the fewer offers there will be on sweet treats so stock up now to reduce your seasonal spending!
This comes as the famous Quality Street Tub containing brightly coloured individually wrapped chocolates is reduced to £4.39 in Aldi.
From The Purple One to Green Triangle, Strawberry Delight to Chocolate Toffee Finger, there’s something that everyone in the family can’t wait to get their hands on.
If you don’t know where your nearest branch is, you can use B&M’s store locator by visiting B&M store locator.
