Over the weekend, President Ramaphosa took his daughter, Keneilwe Ramaphosa, and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, on a work trip to Italy.
The trio visited Rome and the Vatican City, where they met with Pope Leo and paid their respects at the burial grounds of the late Pope Francis.
The president also attended a bilateral meeting with the Holy See, a governing body of the Catholic Church with a mission to renew its focus on collaboration in humanitarian aid, climate justice, emergency response, and peacebuilding.
Keneilwe was spotted alongside her famous father, engaging with various stakeholders throughout the trip.
According to the presidential handbook, the president – Ramaphosa – has the prerogative to invite passengers to accompany him on the official aircraft designated for his use, provided that there is space to accommodate them.
