- Gauteng police are investigating a double murder after the bodies of two women were discovered in Mamelodi East.

Gauteng police have opened two counts of murder following the discovery of bodies belonging to two women aged 21 and 22.
The bodies are reportedly those of Tshiamo and Baleseng Moramaga.
The tragic discovery of the bodies with gunshot wounds was made in Mamelodi East, Pretoria, on Sunday, 26 October 2025.
Gauteng Police spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko says the motive of the incident is currently unknown, and police are working around the clock to crack the case.
No one has been arrested yet, but a manhunt has been launched to find those who are behind this horror, and the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Aubrey Tau Foundation has offered a reward of R250,000 to anyone who has credible information that might lead to the apprehension of the suspects behind this gruesome double murder.
Founder Aubrey Tau has described this as senseless and ruthless.
“Extreme violence against women in South Africa has been on the rise. It cannot be that young women, despite what the allegations may be on social media, are murdered in the most brutal and senseless way,” he said.
