About the Plettenberg Bay Rotary Club Bursary 2026
The Plettenberg Bay Rotary Club Bursary aims to support deserving students residing in the Bitou area (Western Cape) who are pursuing studies in any field at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa.
This bursary provides partial financial assistance, helping learners who demonstrate strong academic potential, leadership, and good conduct but do not qualify for NSFAS funding.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria to be considered for the bursary:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must reside within the Bitou area in the Western Cape
- Must have completed school in the Bitou area
- Must be currently in Matric or have already completed Matric
- Must be studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Must have a strong academic record
- Must have a strong will to succeed
- Must demonstrate good conduct and serve as a role model for others
- Must NOT qualify for NSFAS funding
Required Supporting Documents
When applying, please ensure you submit the following clear, certified documents along with your completed application form (incomplete applications will not be considered):
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Matric certificate or latest results
- Most recent academic record (if currently studying)
- Proof of residence
