EVER WONDERED WHY YOUR CALLS GET CANCELLED OR CLOSED AT CITY POWER? HERE’S WHY
Ever called in at City Power to enquire about a faulty electricity problem, but your call ended up being cancelled or closed? Here’s why:
- MULTIPLE TICKETS HAVE BEEN LOGGED- It may be that there have been multiple calls about the same problem.
- POWER SUPPLY HAS BEEN RESTORED- If an area has an outage affecting more customers and the supply has been restored, all calls related to that particular area end up being cancelled.
In other related news, power has been restored at Van Beek Power Station in areas such as New Doornfontein, parts of Marshalltown and sections of the CBD.
The power outage was caused by burnt protection cables inside the transformer.
It is advised that during an outage, all appliances should be unplugged to minimise the risk of network disruptions and prevent inrush current.
