But now Spencer is hoping to shake off the nepo-baby label as he focuses on his career as a serious sports journalist.
So when he was approached to take part on Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS and reality show Love Island, Spencer was forced to turn them down.
But he admitted the real reason he’s repeatedly said no a string of reality shows is because his TV star dad Piers told him he would be “cut him out of the will” if he took part in any.
Speaking to The Sun about which reality shows he’s been asked to do, Spencer said: “Most of them.
“I’ve been asked to do SAS, Celebs Go Dating – stuff like that.
“I’ve been asked for the last few years, but Dad said if I do any reality TV he will cut me out of the will. It’s always be the deal.
“I have to make the right choice on that one.
“I’m A Celebrity is the only one I’ve never been asked to do.”
Spencer, who is now dating stunning Erica, said he didn’t fancy a stint in the Love Island villa, despite being asked multiple times.
He said at Tulley Farm Shocktober Fest Press Night: “I’ve just been in talks, but I’ve got a girlfriend now.”
Piers has had his own brush with reality TV after he appeared on US celebrity version of The Apprentice in 2008, fronted by Donald Trump.
Spencer admitted his dad had already made it in his career at that point, so it wasn’t a big deal for him to sign up to a reality show at that point in his life.
While Spencer went on to say that he does see himself as a nepo-baby, saying: “Technically yes, but you play the cards you are dealt.”
Spencer is Piers’ eldest son. He went to a private school costing £17k per year.
Spencer is known for hanging out with celebrities and reality show stars, such as Georgia Toffolo, Niall Horan and Mark Wright.
