LaConCo reflects on gratitude, growth and grace

South African media personality LaConco recently celebrated her birthday and Thanksgiving in style.
Reflecting on the special occasion, LaConco expressed her gratitude, writing, “Nkulunkulu wami uyakwazi ukubonga nokuk’dumisa kwami.”
The former Real Housewives of Durban star was joined by close friends, family, and former co-stars, including singer and entrepreneur Londie London, who shared, “I had such a beautiful time at @_laconco’s birthday celebration and thanksgiving.”
In 2024, LaConCo won her first SAFTA award for Best Television Presenter.
Following the win, the 34-year-old shared her heartfelt appreciation, saying, “I’m still numb, full of gratitude for the love you’ve shown me since the day you learnt of me. It’s not long since I joined the entertainment industry, so I never imagined being on TV and winning a SAFTA! Please! Never even crossed my mind.”
She went on to dedicate the award to her family.
Reflecting on her career, LaConCo spoke candidly about the lessons learned both in front of and behind the camera.
“Being an on-screen talent and an executive producer are two entirely different worlds, and I’m grateful to have experienced both. I’ve captured countless moments, and when the time is right, I’ll share them with you. It’s not about luck. I’ve worked hard and shed many tears along the way,” she said.
