People have clocked a hidden detail in one of Lily Allen’s new songs, and it’s so shady

We have now reached the analysing lyrics portion of Lily Allen’s album, West End Girl, with people picking every line apart and attempting to connect it to personal details in the singer’s life.

West End Girl, Lily Allen’s fifth studio album, was released last week to pretty high acclaim. It addressed her marriage, breakup, and subsequent divorce from Stranger Things actor David Harbour, with special attention paid to his alleged history of cheating in their open relationship. Though people hunted far and wide for a woman known as Madeline, the woman herself, Natalie Tippett, came forward of her own volition.

People have already obsessed over the use of the word dojo, and the brutal references to her marriage, but now it seems there’s another moment that could bear a much deeper meaning.

The lyrics aren’t the only thing with meaning in Lily Allen’s album

The armchair experts over on Twitter are CONVINCED that the start of track seven, P*ssy Palace, is reminiscent of the Stranger Things theme tune. As we know, her ex-hubby rose to fame as Jim Hopper in the Netflix show.

In the song, Lily sings about discovering that her husband’s dojo was more like ground zero for his affairs, so what better way to introduce the theme than referencing the man’s claim to fame?

“S*x toys, butt plugs, lube inside/Hundreds of Trojans, you’re so f*cking broken/How’d I get caught up in your double life?” she sings.

Clocking the detail, one person said on Twitter: “Lily Allen replicating/interpolating the melody from the Stranger Things opening at the start of P*ssy Palace was a level of cheekiness and creativity that I hadn’t seen in a while.”

Another wrote: “P*ssy Palace intro being similar to Stranger Things intro is chef’s kiss.”

“The way P*ssy Palace from Lily Allen starts with something crazily similar to the Stranger Things theme tune is wild and genius,” someone else said.

Though not confirmed, if true, there’s no denying her genius.
