About the OUTsurance OSS Hastings Learnership
OUTsurance, a leader in the South African insurance industry for over two decades, is offering an exciting 12-month OSS Hastings Learnership opportunity. The programme provides unemployed youth with the chance to gain valuable work experience, practical skills, and exposure to the financial and insurance sectors.
Successful learners will enter into a fixed-term learnership agreement and receive both on-the-job training and formal qualifications training on-site.
Learnership Details
- Contract Type: Learnership (12 months)
- Industry: Financial and Insurance Services
- Role Type: FAIS: Non-Financial Advice Giving Role
- Skillset: OSS Hastings Learnership
Working Hours
Learners will work according to a pre-determined roster:
- Friday to Monday: 9-hour shifts
- Saturdays: 8-hour shifts
- Sundays: 5-hour shifts
- Two weekdays off (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
- One full day per week dedicated to Full Qualifications Training (on-site)
Learners scheduled to work on South African public holidays will be required to do so, unless it is a UK public holiday.

Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Computer literacy (MS Office proficiency)
- No prior work experience required
INSETA Learnership Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this learnership, candidates must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Not previously participated in an INSETA Learnership
- Have been unemployed for the past six (6) months

In line with OUTsurance’s Employment Equity goals, preference will be given to candidates from designated groups who meet the minimum job requirements.
