A man was killed and five others were injured in a horrific crash involving two vehicles in Durban.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said emergency teams responded to the scene shortly after 7:30pm, where they found “chaos and carnage” of a crash involving two vehicles.
“One male, believed to be in his thirties, was found lying on the freeway with multiple fatal injuries. Paramedics assessed the man but he was declared dead at the scene,” Jamieson said on Sunday morning.
Five other people from both vehicles sustained injuries ranging from moderate to critical. They were transported to various Durban hospitals for further medical care.
The cause of the crash is unclear. SAPS and Metro Police were on scene and will be conducting further investigations.
